Research|Motivational Posters

The most important thing is for a poster is it has to pop if the poster is not eye catching no one will buy it.

The second most important thing is for it to be easy to understand but not be meaningless. People should catch the message quickly and it should affect them.

The third most important thing is the picture must be interesting if the picture is not interesting then the poster's text and/or meaning will be completely irrelevant and ignored.

Picture: The picture has to be relevant to the words that you choose for your poster(If you choose to include text). The picture should make the words mean even more and make the specter think hard about what it means to them. Though the poster's meaning should jump right out at you, you should be able to think about it after looking at it. The picture should be symbolic and bold in order to get the person who is viewing it interested.

Text: If you choose to have text in your poster you must make sure that it matches the picture you choose. The text should fit the picture clearly. It is good to use a color that is seldom used in the picture for the text. This will make both the picture and the text pop. If you have a picture with a small amount of color the best color to use may vary. Usually white is better for black and white and the brightest color is always better with dull tones. The text must also leave the specter thinking about how it pertains to their everyday life.

Impact: When it comes to motivational posters you want the person to understand, realize,or promote something that is helpful or useful to others like themselves. Motivational posters should help make someone feel better about themselves or their personal decisions. It should also help them to be aware of problems and feel like they are taking part in helping fix them. If your motivational poster can accomplish this it seems that it will be a success.

How I found this information: I used the Internet to find motivational posters. I took a look at the color schemes, meanings, text, and pictures to come to my conclusions. I also researched tips on how to make motivational posters impact all ages of people, but mostly young adults. After doing my research I came up with these guidelines.

Examples:

Quote Examples: That I made up

  • Together we fall but, apart we never rise to begin with.
  • I will always choose not to live without you.
  • The biggest dreams start from the smallest places.
  • If you don't live to be happy then what do you live for?
  • We change, we wait, and then eventually we hope something good happens. Usually it does
  • It is what we hope for that makes us able to love, not what we are knowledgeable about. (favorite) <] :]
  • An empty road, seemingly the symbol of lost hope, in fact it is quite the contrary it is the symbol of us getting somewhere.
